Overview
Worldwide medical hospitals require talented and skilled medical professionals to ensure good patient care and successful hospital management operations. The primary aim of this programme is to cultivate a comprehensive range of knowledge, values, skills, and competencies necessary to operate and manage effectively within both domestic and international hospital environments. The course objectives include developing and enhancing knowledge and skills in leading change, effective performance, planning and accountability, development, and team leadership.
The postgraduate course encompasses a broad spectrum of modern issues and fosters critical, analytical, and technical skills essential for senior management positions. Upon completion, learners will be equipped to work as effective healthcare administrators or managers.
The Programme offers learners 120 credits out of the 180 credits required to complete an MSc. This qualification is suitable for bachelor’s degree holders in related subjects and mature learners with relevant work experience (non-University graduates). Upon receiving your Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma, you are eligible to apply for an MSc top-up course, either online or on-campus, at various UK and international universities. The top-up component typically comprises the final 60 credits, either through a dissertation or a combination of a dissertation and one module
The Postgraduate Diploma in Health and Social Care Management enables learners to advance within employment or pursue further studies towards an MSc Health and Social Care Management Top-Up degree. This can be achieved with advanced standing universities in the UK and overseas.

About Ofqual:
The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) regulates qualifications, examinations, and assessments in England. It is a non-ministerial government department with jurisdiction in England. Ofqual operates independently of the government and reports directly to Parliament. Any Level 4 and Level 5 qualifications approved by Ofqual are equivalent to Higher National Certificates (HNC) and Higher National Diplomas (HND), or to Year 1 and Year 2 of a three-year UK Bachelor’s degree program.
Entry Requirements
For entry onto the Level 7 Post Graduate Diploma in Health and Social Care Management qualification, learners must possess
- A bachelor degree in related subject or UK level 6 diploma or an equivalent overseas qualification
- Mature learners (over 24 to 55) with management experience (learners must check Phoenix Graduate School London regarding this experience prior to registering for the programme)
Learner must be 21 years or older at the beginning of the course.
Upon successfully completing the Postgraduate Diploma and Top-Up year of an accredited postgraduate degree programme, learners will possess the skills necessary to undertake professional managerial or administrative roles in both private and government healthcare sectors.
